When opening the VTech Kidizoom Duo, the boys hands were coming from every direction desperate to suss it out. Riley and Mike have a plastic camera which just makes click noises which they used to love carrying around when we went for trips and bushwalks, the prospect of being able to take actual photographs was super exciting for them!

When looking for a gift for my rough and tumble boys it has to be durable, the Kidizoom Duo features 2 easy grip sides, a wrist strap and even when dropped, which is inevitable, it appears to be able to take it in it’s stride. It is recommended for ages 3-9.

My boys loved exploring all of the features on offer, The dual lense created some very cute selfies and about 50 photos of our dog  😆 . The Kidizoom Duo also features a voice recorder in which you can alter the voices with funny effects, auto-portrait feature & 5 seperate games: Busy Traffic, Save The Fish, Basketball Fun,Crazy Cafe, Bounce Around. An inbuilt photo editor and silly face detector, all viewable on a 2.4 inch colour screen. The boys laughed their heads off  with all the silly face photos.

The option to also film videos was a super cool addition to what was already an unbelievably fun camera. You can add animations to your videos for that extra pizazz. Another feature is 4x zoom – which resulted in lots of photos of my head way too close up 😆 .

Mike took the Kidizoom Duo on a trip to the park to test it out – The built in games entertained the boys on the drive inbetween taking blurry out the window photos. He really enjoyed exploring and using his imaginations and got some really great snaps! The optional addition of extendable memory with a micro SD means more space for those awesome snaps – (not included).

The only thing I would change about the Kidizoom Duo is that it is battery operated, although Vtech are super and actually provided the 2x AA batteries which saved me a trip to the store, a toy this popular with the kiddos needs a usb charge option.
